Gelato Messina — Voted best gelato in Australia by Good Food Guide

My friend, trying to show me the often overlooked eateries of Sydney, and eagerly spoke to me about Gelato Messina days before we finally ventured to the newest dessert venue in Darlinghurst . I’ll admit for all her hyping I had my doubts, after all, it is just gelato isn’t it? Could it really be that good?

Last Saturday, my friend and I just walked the National Pass track from Wentworth Falls. It took us 2.5 hrs (we did the Overcliff and Wentworth Pass tracks) and involved a lot of steps, but the scenery as we walked along the edge of cliff faces about 200m above the valley is just breathtaking.

A super movie – ‘The Avengers’ review

The Avengers

Joss Whedon’s The Avengers is probably one of the most highly anticipated films of 2012. And it doesn’t disappoint. If anything, it exceeds expectations. It’s films like this which make you remember why the cinema is still relevant in a society of large, good quality TVs, great personal sound systems, and relatively cheap DVDs and Blurays. It’s one Hulk of a movie which takes super to a whole new level.

What the word ‘literature’ means to you?

literature

I personally never knew or even heard of the word ‘literature’ until I was in year 11. Neither of my parents ever spoke of it before, not that I blamed it on them, of course. I was forced to take the subject in school, because it was not that hard to get good grades. I was not actually forced to think about it again, it was more like a I-don’t-have-any-other-options kind of thing. It is like English though.

A new study has discovered a direct link between the number of friends you have on Facebook and how much of a “socially disruptive narcissist” you are—giving us one more reason to tone down our Facebook addictions. Researchers at Western  Illinois studied 294 college students and found that those with more friends on Facebook tended to score higher on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory questionnaire. They tended to respond more aggressively to comments, change their profile pictures more often, and updated their news feeds more regularly than others.
